Kiara Colón Releases a Unique Twist on the Robin Hood Trope

I’m thrilled to share my friend Kiara Colón’s latest release, Hood. A thrilling adventure of romance, retelling, and wolf shifter lore.

Born in Puerto Rico and residing in Connecticut with her kids and parents, Kiara balances a full-time job while juggling life as a mom and pouring her heart into writing and beautiful crocheted crafts. I’ve watched her storytelling grow over the years along with my own, and her passion for romance shows on every page. Hood has been one of my favorites of Kiara’s novels, bringing a spin on wolf shifter romance that shines above many I’ve read in the genre.

Hood follows Celeste Belmonte, a woman from a powerful wolf pack who loses her wolf spirit to a warlock. To reclaim it, she must marry a man she barely knows and navigate a dangerous alliance between rival packs. Enter Ethan Fortier, a broody rogue whose Robim Hood–inspired theivery brings unexpected tension, and a sexual tension neither of them anticipated. This isn’t your typical wolf-shifter with the cliche fated-mates story. Their love is genuine without the cosmic, instant-love mate bond trope the genre often leans on. It’s refreshing, making their union feel more real and relatable.

Kiara tells me she was inspired by the adventurous animated Robin Hood she loved as a kid and wanted to explore a story where love is chosen, not forced through the typical shifter wolf dynamic.

Despite the nerves she shared that come with releasing a book, Kiara’s persistence has kept her going. Every word in Hood is written with love, and it shows.

“When the human falls in love, the wolf will follow.”
