Looking through some old photos, I thought it might be fun to start a series featuring makeup tips and beauty finds inspired by some of my great book characters starting with Ava Cole from the steamy summer read Apollyon’s Secret at Midnight. This series will feature beauty finds on a budget to luxury finds, right out of the stylish scenes of the books.
Many of you may not be aware that before becoming a full time author I was a professional wardrobe stylist, makeup artist, and hair stylist. I worked with photographers, models, and celebrities and featured in magazines and film. I continue my love for the indsutry as a book cover designer and part time photographer. In this series I’m excited to combine my love for books with beauty and style tips that I hope you enjoy. I think it will be a great way to get a sneek peak into the characters and make thier world come alive.

In Apollyon’s Secret at Midnight, character Ava Cole was a curvy plus size beauty with a simplistic style. When Ava was getting ready for a special date night with Hunter she had to be really make a show for the spicy kink club of only the most prestigous guest. She was given a dream fetish wardrobe by the stylist team that made eyes pop. I was inspired by the fashions of Polish Designer Askasu for the scene where she is preparing for club Heat, the most elite hot spot on the island. Ava was adorned in a submissive gown much like the one below in an emerald green shade.
